What are some creative ways you manage to save your money, while still being able to reward yourself with incentives like vacations, spa days, salon days, shopping, etc?

This may seem strange, but I like to plan ahead before spending money. Especially when it comes to vacations. I always plan 12-18 months in advance since a vacation for a family of 6 can become pretty expensive once you add everything up. My biggest challenge will be planning a trip out of the country with my family where I may have to buckle down and use a travel agent. But, I am willing to do the research to see how much money I can save before booking an agent and kicking out those expensive booking fees!
